I could tell you all how much I love chocolate, but that would be like stating the obvious in a big way. I am always on the lookout for new and different kinds of chocolate, so when the folks at Equal Exchange reached out to me recently to introduce me to their new line of organic fairly traded candy bars for kids and adults, I was excited to learn more. Equal Exchange Candy Bars are perfect for those who crave sweeter traditional candy bar flavors, but in a high quality organic chocolate.
These organic and fairly traded candy bars (grown by small farmers) come in three delicious flavors, Milk Chocolate Crisp, Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut. I’ve tasted each of the flavors (all in the name of research) and they are wonderful. More and more it seems like the chocolate in some candy bars tastes like, well, wax. Not here. These taste like pure, delicious chocolate. Like the real chocolate you remember from when you were a kid.
While I really enjoyed all of the flavors, my favorite is the Dark Chocolate Fruit and Nut. I’m such a dark chocolate fan, and this is such a fabulous dark chocolate base with a nice chewy and crunchy texture kick the fruits and nuts. Love it.
