Red, White & Blue – No Bake Treats

Sticking with my “it’s too hot to turn on the oven” theme, here is another quick and easy treat you can whip up with just a little help from the microwave.

Frosting filled chocolate covered graham crackers. I do not believe in throwing extra frosting away, so I always try to find a use for it, aside from my eating it straight out of the bowl with a spoon. As a child, my mom would always take any leftover frosting and put it between graham crackers. It’s such a simple thing, yet so very tasty. After making the Patriotic Push Pops, I needed something to do with the extra frosting, and this seemed like a great idea. Of course I had to add more than just… frosting, so I topped each frosting & graham cracker sandwich with some white chocolate Wilton Melts and red, white and blue sprinkles. Good stuff.

If you have your frosting in piping / Ziploc bags, it’s pretty simple to add the frosting in stripes to the graham crackers. There is really no recipe, just frosting on a graham, put another one on top, top with the melted chocolate if you wish, and call it good. Another really fun option would be to make these as S’Mores Pops, which is a great option if you don’t have frosting on hand, but have marshmallows. If you haven’t made S’mores Pop, by all means – DO IT – here’s my step by step how to. Or make a frosting pop. I mean really, whatever combo of graham crackers, chocolate, frosting, marshmallows and/or sprinkles you make, it will most likely be very well received. 🙂

My mom use to do the same thing with our leftover frosting, and I remember loving it! Thanks for posting something that doesn’t involve turning my oven on, especially since it has been in the high 90’s and low 100’s all week!

I am SO on board with this not turning on the oven – and if you get these results – well – it’s a home run!
