Air Fryer
Ingredients
1.5-2lbschicken wingscut into drumettes and wingettes, with the tip removed
5tablespoonshoney garlic seasoning blend
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2cuphoney
2teaspoonssoy sauce
green onionsoptional garnish
sesame seeds optional garnish
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. While that heats up, pat the wings with a paper towel until dry. Brush the wings with 1 tablespoon of melted butter, then sprinkle them with the honey garlic seasoning. Rub the seasoning into the wings as best as you can. Place them in the air fryer, but don't crowd the basket. Air fry the wings for 7-9 minutes on each side.
While that cooks, start on the glaze. Add the remaining butter to a saucepan and melt that down. Add the minced garlic to the butter and let that simmer for a few minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant. Next, add the honey and soy sauce and stir until combined. Let that come to a low simmer to thicken which will take 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Take the wings out of the air fryer once finished, and check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F. Place the finished wings in the saucepan and toss until the wings are evenly coated with the glaze.
Place the coated wings back in the air fryer for a minute or two until the wings become slightly crispy and charred on the sides. Take them out of the air fryer and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Storage - You can store the leftover honey garlic wings in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. If you want to reheat, just throw them in the air fryer at 350°F until heated through, or for 10-15 minutes.
