In under 30 minutes, with only 4 simple ingredients, these fried apples will be melting in your mouth in no time

Equipment

  • 1 skillet cast iron or regular

Ingredients

  • 6 medium granny smith apples (peeled, cored, and evenly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon

Instructions

  • Start by heating up a large skillet on the stove over a medium-low heat. To the skillet, add the butter and swirl around until completely melted. Next, add the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Stir everything together until combined, and the sugar has dissolved.
  • Next, add the peeled, cored and sliced apples to the skillet.
  • Stir the apples around until they are coated in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Cook these apples down until tender, stirring occasionally. This takes about 10 minutes. Serve the fried apples once they reach your desired consistency. Enjoy!

Notes

Storage - You can store the leftover fried apples in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You can reheat in the microwave for 30 second intervals until warm, or back on the skillet for a few minutes until heated through.
