Mummy Hot Dogs are the perfect Halloween meal that your guests will adore. Made in under 30 minutes, these spooky pigs in a blanket will not only fill up your family and friends, but leave a smile on their face.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Remove all moisture from the hot dogs with paper towels then set these aside.
Roll out the crescent dough and pinch together perforated seams. Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice the dough into ¼ inch strips. The length of the strips is not important.
Take the strips of dough and wrap them around the hot dogs. Try to criss-cross a little, but do not overlap too many layers or they will not bake properly. Make sure you leave a little space uncovered to add the eyes later.
Place all of the mummies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not too crowded. Bake them for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden.
Use a small amount of mustard (or ketchup) to attach the candy eyes.
Storage – These will last in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
Make Ahead – If you’re making these for a party, but want them to come out hot for your guests, you can pre-make all the mummy dogs, place them on the baking sheet, wrap the tray tightly with plastic wrap and keep them in the fridge until you’re ready to pop them in the oven!
