This soul-warming coffee drink is the highlight of the fall months, and tastes exactly like if you were to order one from Starbucks or Dunkin.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • cinnamon & nutmeg (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Grab your slow cooker, and add the whole milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir until combined and turn the slow cooker on to a low heat.
  • Let the mixture sit for 2 hours, and stir it every once in a while. The drink base should be hot, and everything should be combined evenly when it’s done.
  • Once it’s done, add the strong coffee or espresso. Stir everything together well. Taste the drink and see if the flavors are to your liking. Add a little more cream, sugar, spice or more coffee depending on how you like your coffee.
  • Serve the coffee into mugs and top with whipped cream or cinnamon whipped cream and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg! Enjoy!

Notes

Storage - Store the leftover pumpkin coffee drink in an airtight container or bottle in the fridge. This should last for 4-5 days. To warm it up, you can microwave it in 30 second intervals or in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Be careful heating it up in the saucepan, you don’t want the milk to curdle or burn.
