Quick And Easy Candy Corn White Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats

I LOVE a good Rice Krispies Treat.   Like really, really, REALLY love.  There is something so simple about them.  And buttery.  Very buttery.   Yum.

Add in some candy corn, white chocolate (I used the white chocolate Candy Corn M&M’s) and some festive sprinkles and you have one heck of a quick and easy treat.   I whipped these up following the standard recipe on the back of the Rice Krispies box, and simply added in 1/3 of a cup of candy corn, 1/3 of a cup of white chocolate and about 1/4 of a cup of sprinkles (and some extra for the top).    That’s it!

I cut mine with a large round cookie cutter (you could use a glass), which make the cutting quick and easy and the size uniform (no fighting over who got the bigger one – though who got more candy corn is an argument I can’t help you with).

I also made a batch of these using the Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows…

I don’t want to sound negative, but none of us liked them.   We are pretty big pumpkin lovers, but these were just too much.   Like holy pumpkin spice and then some.   I’m sad to say most of that batch went into the trash, and trust me, I’m not one to throw away a dessert (I’m pretty firm in my no crimes against dessert stance).

Now, the bag of caramel vanilla marshmallows I have sitting in my pantry, those I am holding out some really high hopes for.

Look for those to make an appearance around here VERY soon.  :)

I’m a true lover of pumpkin and I’m right there with you on the Pumpkin Spice Marshmellows….really didn’t like them at all which totally broke my heart. I guess I need to look for the Carmel and Vanilla, those sound really good!

Pumpkin spice marshmallows do sound a big odd to me but caramel and vanilla ones? Perfect!

I was wondering what to do with my big bag of candy corn and now I know – these will go down a treat at Halloween!

  5. I know what my next dessert obsession will be. This weekend we’re knocking out the s’mores cravings, next weekend…krispies!

  6. Don’t bother with the Mint Chocolate Jet-Puffed’s… they taste nothing like mint OR chocolate. I was severly disappointed!

  7. Christi says:

Jess, that cracks me up because I bet that’s exactly what I would think. I swear EVERY time I go to the store I see a new marshmallow variety (Pina Colada yesterday or something like that) and I kind of wonder exactly how much variety one needs with marshmallows!

  8. Kristy says:

So fun! And have I not tried the candy corn flavored M&M’s. Going to the store now….

  9. Andrea says:

They don’t have the white M&Ms in Canada, at least not where I am living. I am highly annoyed to be honest. I also haven’t seen flavoured marshmallows yet but then I didn’t look for them either. Thanks for the suggestions, like that one.

Andrea, you could easily do the white chocolate chips. If you add in some sprinkles, it will give you that burst of color. And truth be told, I don’t love the white M&M’s. I am such a white chocolate fan, but something about them just isn’t quite there for me. And I will say even here in America, they were hard to find. The three Walmarts near me never had any, all of ours came from one random Walmart across town.
