Ingredient Info

  • Milk – You can use whole milk or 2% milk. Whatever you have on hand will work!
  • Vanilla Instant Pudding – You just need 1 packet of the instant pudding. Any brand will work. Vanilla is recommended, but you can test out any flavors you’d like! Don’t follow the directions on the box, follow the ones given in this recipe.
  • Cool Whip – If you want to make your own whipped cream, you can. Otherwise, a store bought whipped topping like cool whip will work just fine.
  • Granny Smith Apples – Granny smith apples add some tartness to this sweet dish, but you can use a different kind of apple if you’d like.
  • Snickers Bars – Highly recommend putting the Snickers Bars in the fridge before you cut them up, because they’ll be easier to slice if the caramel is chilled.
  • Caramel Sauce – You can use the store bought kind or make it yourself!

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Start with a large bowl and add the milk and instant vanilla pudding. Whisk the two together until combined. The pudding should thicken up once combined.
  2. Add half of the container of cool whip to the pudding and fold it together. Once that’s mostly combined, fold the rest of the cool whip in. Scrape the sides of the bowl to make sure you get everything. Place this in the fridge while you prep the other ingredients.
  3. Core the apples and chop them up into even, bite sized pieces. Toss them with a little bit of lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Next, chop up the chilled Snickers Bars into bite sized pieces. Reserve half a cup of both the apples and snickers for garnish.
  4. Add the remaining apples and Snickers to the pudding mix, and fold it together until incorporated. Drizzle the top of the salad with the caramel sauce & top with the reserved apples and Snickers.

Tips and Advice

Storage – You can store the leftover Snickers Salad in the fridge, covered for 2-3 days. I don’t recommend saving it past then. The apples will likely brown and the candy will get soft.

Make Ahead – If you want to make this dish ahead of time, just avoid adding the caramel sauce, and toppings until you’re just about to serve. It will look a lot more fresh if done this way.
