- Eggs – Make sure your eggs are at room temperature for this recipe! If youāre familiar with the art of deviled eggs, to cook them, you usually boil them. However you can also make Hard Boiled Eggs in the Air Fryer! If you decide to use this method, skip step 1 of the instructions.
- Mayonnaise – Any brand of mayo works for this recipe. Low fat and homemade mayonnaise will work as well.
- Dijon Mustard – Dijon Mustard is a key part of this recipe! It adds the perfect amount of zing. You can also use spicy brown mustard, or yellow mustard instead.
- Apple Cider Vinegar – For the perfect amount of sour and sweetness, apple cider vinegar is the best choice! You can also use lemon juice or rice vinegar!
- Seasonings – Youāll need some salt & pepper to add to the filling and some paprika to top it all off with!
- Toppings – There are so many things you can top these with! Our family loves crumbled bacon bits and chopped chives, but you can add things like diced onion, parsley, diced pickles, olives, dill, or get fancier with things like smoked salmon, crab meat or balsamic glaze!



Step by Step Instructions
- Start by bringing a large pot of water to a boil. Leave some empty space in the pot, but enough water to cover the eggs fully. Add room temperature eggs to the boiling water and boil for 12 minutes. Remove the eggs from the boiling water, and immediately add it to an ice bath. Let them cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Once completely cooled, peel the eggs and slice them into halves going lengthwise. Remove the egg yolks from the egg whites and add the egg yolks to a medium sized mixing bowl.
- To the mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper. Mash the ingredients together with a fork until smooth and creamy.
- Add the filling to a piping bag or a ziploc baggie with the corner snipped off. Pipe the filling into the hole of the egg whites until the filling is gone. Place the deviled eggs into the refrigerator and allow them to cool for at least 30 minutes. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Easy Egg Peeling
- Some people like to add a splash of vinegar to the boiling water before adding the eggs because it makes it easier to peel.
- You can also gently crack the eggs before adding it to the ice bath.
- Lastly, you can try the tap and roll method. Just gently tap the top and the bottom of the egg against a hard surface until it cracks, then gently roll the egg under your hand against the surface and peel off the skin easily.
Storage – You can store the deviled eggs in the fridge, covered for 2-3 days. You can absolutely prepare these a day ahead of time and keep them in the fridge. Just garnish before you serve! I do not recommend freezing them.

Get the Perfect Deviled Eggs!
When boiling the eggs, you want to make sure that the eggs are at room temperature before adding them to the boiling water. When you add cold eggs to boiling water, they have the tendency to explode.
You can bring the eggs to room temperature quickly by placing them in a bowl of lukewarm water for 5-10 minutes before adding them to the boiling water.
