In terms of finding these ingredients, most of them can be found on Amazon and are linked above! Otherwise, bulk food stores like Winco or Sprouts are a great place to look. Your local grocer, Target and Walmart are always great options, or stop in to your local candy store to find some of the more unique ones!

How to Assemble

  1. On a flag shaped or rectangular serving tray, form a small square in the top left corner of the board with blueberries. Gather the remaining red and white ingredients, and place them in stripes on the board from top to bottom, alternating colors every stripe. Place the star shaped pretzels on top of the blueberries and serve!

Tips & Advice

Storage – I recommend storing all ingredients separately before assembling. If you’re using fruit, assemble the snack board close to when you want to serve it. If you’re not using fruit, you could assemble and cover with saran wrap then store the night before serving.

Snack board Spacing Tips

When spacing a charcuterie board, you usually want to keep similar ingredients away from each other. For example, don’t place all the fruits next to each other, split them up between your sour candies and chocolates.

That being said, this tip is totally optional, and it’s your board so do whatever you want!

Let’s talk boards! This is the American Flag board used in the photos. It’s painted with food safe paint, and sealed with Press N’ Seal.

Here are some other options for Flag Shaped Boards you can find on Amazon. You can also check out my whole Summer Themed Shop over on my Amazon Storefront for more patriotic goodies to add to your display.

You can also use other boards like this Star Shaped Board, or this United States Shaped Board. And if all else fails, a Rectangle Shaped Board will work just fine.
