I Love Pumpkin!

Pumpkin Recipes are some of my all time favorites.  I love classic pumpkin pie recipes like Libby’s Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Pie With Graham Cracker Crust and my long time go to Easy Pumpkin Pie recipe.

Nothing says fall quite like pumpkin bread recipes. We love the copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Bread and can’t get enough Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins.

Pumpkin desserts like Pumpkin Roll, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies and Pumpkin Bars are always a hit. I hope you enjoy my recipes!

Pumpkin Tips

Wondering how much pumpkin is in that canned pumpkin in your pantry? Here’s a quick guide to the approximate amounts of pumpkin per can.

Pumpkin Per Can

  • 8oz can of pumpkin = 1 cup
  • 15oz can of pumpkin = 1 3/4 cups
  • 29oz can of pumpkin = 3 1/2 cups

Pumpkin Puree vs Pumpkin Pie Filling

Unsure what the difference is between canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie mix? Canned Pumpkin, or Pumpkin Puree, is just that – 100% pumpkin. Pumpkin Pie Mix has other ingredients such as spices and sweeteners added to it. Most pumpkin recipes you will find here, and elsewhere use canned pumpkin.

I personally recommend Libby’s Canned Pumpkin simply because it seems to have the most consistent moisture content from year to year. Extra moisture in pumpkin puree can impact how recipes turn out.

Pumpkin For Dogs

Can dogs eat pumpkin? Yes – with your vet’s approval, of course! It’s good for digestion, their eyes and their coat. You’ll find it in my PupcakesDog Cake and Pumpkin Dog Treats recipes.
